Why do walls absorb water?
The reason why water rises through the walls is connected to a natural phenomenon – Adhesive Force. This adhesion causes the liquid to cling to the surface on which it rests. Furthermore, it allows water molecules to adhere to other materials. Almost all materials, except for oily substances, absorb water and additionally, Earth’s naturally occurring magnetic field creates an electrical disturbance present in the ground and rises through the building structure, exacerbating the pull of the moisture upwards through the wall.
The Biodry system eliminates the interferences which causes the imbalance of the water molecules (cause of capillary rising damp and humidity). A physical law, better known as counter- phase, proof that two equal and opposite waves collide and cancel each other. The Biodry device picks up the interferences already present in the building and reflects them equal and opposite, thus canceling the cause of capillary rising damp. Within few months, the wall usually dries completely and this is verified with a series of inspections and measurements carried out according to UNI legislation. This takes place from the installation of the device to the certification of the dry wall.
Lack of waterproofing
The lack of adequate waterproofing in the foundations allows the water to penetrate and to rise inside the walls. The moisture can reach high levels, in some cases exceeding two meters in height. The reason why water rises through the walls is connected to a physical phenomenon, called Adhesive Force.
This adhesion causes the liquid to cling to the surface on which it rests. Furthermore, it allows water molecules to adhere to other materials. Every wall absorbs the moisture in a different way because of the different material or the construction technique used but additionally, Earth’s naturally occurring magnetic field creates an electrical disturbance within the building structure, exacerbating the pull of the moisture upwards through the wall.
Electrical disturbance in the walls
Other causes of electric disturbances are factors naturally existing in the ground, such as stray electrical current, anomalies of the magnetic field, the underground flow of water in the stratum or less frequently, electromagnetic waves emitted by external energetic sources.
Electro-smog is the invisible electromagnetic radiation resulting from the use of both wireless technology and mains electricity. These include radio waves, high tension pylons, underground electrodes and electrostatic currents. The flow of underground water generates an electric interference below the building and it disperses on the ground causing an electric potential difference between the wall and the ground.
There is a difference of electric potential, also known as voltage, created between the floor and the highest wet part of the wall, which can be measured with electrical equipment. The electrical interference carries the water molecules making them rise.
How does BIODRY eliminate
the problem of rising damp permanently?
The operating principle of Biodry technology is simple and is divided into four phases.
The cause of rising damp
The cause of rising damp is an electrical interference present in the ground below the building which greatly increases the capillary capacity of the wall and favours the rise of the water.
Once the Biodry device is installed, it picks up the natural electrical signal as an antenna and puts it in frequency. (Physical phenomenon better known as resonance)
Biodry reverses the intercepted signal and reflects it equal and opposite. A physical law, better known as counter-phase, proof that two equal and opposite waves collide and cancel each other. The disturbance that causes the water to rise disappears.
The rise is stopped, the water still present in the wall, descends naturally by gravity, drying itself permanently by evaporation. Once this process is completed, the plaster can be restored.
Biodry is certified.
The Biodry device has been certified by several prestigious external companies. The CE certification has been performed by a specialised body and it certifies that Biodry complies with DIRECTIVE 2006/42 / CE.
TUV has also certified the device for safety of electronic materials, devices and equipment. It is certified that Biodry complies with the safety requirements in relation to exposure to electromagnetic fields as established by the EN62233; ICNIRP, 1999/519 / CE, CEI 211-6 standards.
